NOLA Raised Home

What you may be noticing

A floor, crack and door log you can print

A dated record of what you see, in the same spots, so you can tell whether a house is changing and show a professional exactly what you noticed.

Last updated October 7, 2026.

How to use it

  1. Work from inside the house. Do not go into a crawl space for this.
  2. Choose six to ten fixed spots, such as room corners, the middle of a room, and doorways. Mark each with painter’s tape.
  3. Each time, note what you see at each spot. Put a ruler or tape measure in every photo and take it from the same place.
  4. Check about once a month, and again after heavy rain, a storm or a long dry spell.
  5. Keep going. A single entry says little; a run of dated entries shows whether anything is changing.

Our guides on sagging and sloping floors, house settling and sticking doors explain what these signs can and cannot tell you.

Your log

Add one entry each time you check. Entries are saved in this browser on this device and are not sent to anyone, including us. Clearing your browser data removes them, so download a copy if you want to keep it.

    Next step

If your log shows a change

Describe what you have recorded and when it started. A dated log makes any evaluation faster and more useful.

Your request comes to NOLA Raised Home first. If it looks like a fit, we share it with one independent local provider, which decides whether it can help. Not every request is a match. We are not the contractor. How it works.
